What is a Non-Surgical Nose Job?
With the increasing use of injectable fillers, both the front and side profile appearances of the nose have the opportunity to be changed in less than 15 minutes. A non-surgical nose job is a minimally invasive procedure that involves injecting fillers such as hyaluronic acid, calcium hydroxyapatite into the nose to change the shape of the nose, nostrils, or the height of the dorsum of the nose. This procedure has effects such as filling the depressed areas on the nose, lifting the nose tip, hiding the appearance of a hump.
Filler injections in the nose can help make the nose appear more straight but will not make the nose smaller. In fact, fillers enlarge the nose by adding volume to the nose. However, they can create illusions that make the nose look more refined, making the nose appear smaller, and hide some formations such as a dorsal hump, making the dorsum of the nose look straight.
People with mild to nasal humps can be good candidates for non-surgical nose job. People with very large nasal humps, or with very thick and wide noses may not be good candidates. It may be more difficult to create illusions that make the nose more refined in such people.
Non surgical nose job procedures performed with hyaluronic acid-based fillers can easily be reversed by injecting an enzyme called hyaluronidase into the nose if the patient is not pleased by the results.
A non surgical nose job can be performed in a short time of 15 minutes with injectible fillers, and those who have it can return to their daily lives immediately after the treatment. Although it may be normal to have some swelling and slight bruising, there is no special care that the patient needs to do, except for some simple things that the patient should pay attention to after the treatment. The results of non surgical nose jobs performed with hyaluronic based injectible fillers can last up to 1-1,5 years.
