Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ali Rıza Öreroğlu

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ali Rıza Öreroğlu is an internationally recognized Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeon based in Istanbul. He is known for his work in facial rejuvenation, facelift surgery, rhinoplasty, ethnic rhinoplasty, breast augmentation, forehead reduction and facial harmonization. His academic and clinical practice is guided by a commitment to natural-looking, anatomically precise and long-lasting results that preserve each patient’s individual identity.

Born as the first child of an engineer father and a scholarly, artistic mother, Dr. Öreroğlu grew up in an environment shaped by science, creativity and intellectual curiosity. He has a younger sister and shares his home with two much-loved, mischievous cats.

He began his primary education in Tehran and later graduated through the Geneva-based International Baccalaureate system. He received his medical degree from Ankara University Faculty of Medicine and completed his residency at Istanbul Okmeydanı Training and Research Hospital, qualifying as a specialist in Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery.

Following his specialty training, Dr. Öreroğlu pursued further education in microsurgery at the Marmara University laboratory. In 2009, he travelled to Atlanta, Georgia, where he trained with Dr. Foad Nahai at the PACES Clinic, focusing on facelift surgery, facial rejuvenation and aesthetic breast surgery. This experience played an important role in shaping his interest in advanced facial surgery and natural aesthetic outcomes.

In 2011, he received Second Prize in the Clinical Category of the Resident Presentation Competition at the 33rd National Congress of the Turkish Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery. In 2013, he obtained certification from the European Board of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery and became a Fellow of EBOPRAS. He also holds the Turkish Board Certification in Plastic Surgery, which he renewed in 2016.

During the International Aesthetic Surgery Fellowship Program of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, now known as The Aesthetic Society, Dr. Öreroğlu worked with internationally renowned surgeons including Dr. Sherrell J. Aston, Dr. Timothy J. Marten, Dr. Daniel C. Baker, Dr. Glenn W. Jelks, Dr. Dennis C. Hammond, Dr. Alan Matarasso and Dr. Nicolas Tabbal. His fellowship covered facelift and necklift surgery, facial rejuvenation, rhinoplasty, eyelid surgery, breast surgery and body contouring. He completed part of this advanced training at the distinguished Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital in New York.

Dr. Öreroğlu has been a member of the Turkish Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (TPRECD) and the Turkish Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (EPCD) since 2013. He has been a Fellow of the European Board of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (EBOPRAS) since 2013, a member of the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS) since 2018 and a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) since 2019.

Throughout his career, Dr. Öreroğlu has delivered numerous presentations at national and international plastic surgery congresses and scientific meetings. He is regularly invited to lecture on advanced facelift techniques, facial ageing, rhinoplasty and strategies for achieving durable, natural-looking results. He also serves as an instructor in various cadaveric facelift and rhinoplasty courses, sharing his anatomical and surgical experience with fellow plastic surgeons.

In March 2026, Tatler magazine featured Dr. Öreroğlu in its “Out of This World” selection of international rising stars on insiders’ radar. The magazine highlighted his US training, long-lasting modified SMAS facelifts, rhinoplasty results that resemble the original anatomy and breast augmentation results designed to look and behave naturally.

His scientific work has received more than 750 academic citations. His academic profile includes a Web of Science H-index of 10, a Google Scholar H-index of 13 and an i10-index of 14.

Dr. Öreroğlu accepts complex and demanding surgical cases, including revision procedures requiring detailed structural reconstruction and highly individualized planning. He is sought by patients from around the world for facelift surgery, structural and ethnic rhinoplasty, subfascial breast augmentation, forehead reduction and comprehensive facial harmonization.

His work brings together scientific knowledge, advanced anatomy, surgical precision and artistic judgement. His goal is to achieve refined, balanced and natural-looking results while respecting the unique characteristics of each patient’s anatomy and preserving their identity.

Since establishing his private clinic in Nişantaşı, Istanbul, in November 2016, Dr. Öreroğlu has welcomed patients from Türkiye and around the world in a personal, attentive and internationally oriented setting. He performs his procedures at leading private hospitals in Istanbul and, since receiving the academic title of Associate Professor of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery in February 2023, has continued to combine academic expertise with highly individualized patient care.
