‘’Cat Eyes’’ Surgery with a Brow / Temporal Lift

A Temporal lift is a surgical procedure to shape and tighten the temple area upwards to have a more ‘cat-like’ appearance. When a brow / temporal lift is combined with cantopexy / cantoplasty, this combined operation can be called “Cat Eyes” surgery.

Adjusting the positions and tilt angles of the eyes and eyebrows to a shape similar to the cat’s eye known as “cat eyes surgery” involves lifting and tightening the skin and subcutaneous tissues in the temple area with a brow / temporal lift. This procedure can improve the droopiness of the eyebrows, partially of the forehead and lateral corners of the eyes.

Canthoplasty is a surgical technique that can be used after an upper or a lower blepharoplasty to lift the outer corners of the eyes, correct drooping eyelids and provide extra eyelid support. Canthoplasty is effective for improving a tired or sad expression, creating a cat or almond like eye shape, and providing a younger appearance for the eye area.

Canthoplasty can tighten a drooping, loose lower eyelid and reshape and reposition the lateral canthus. This procedure uses an incision in the outer corner of the eyelid to reconstruct the weakened or stretched canthal tendon that secures the lower eyelid, which raises the outer corners of the eyes and improves their overall shape.

In the case of a lack of volume in the mid face, this procedure may need to be supplemented with volumizing procedures such as fillers or fat grafting.
