Why Do Women Feel The Need To Have A Breast Augmentation Surgery?
Breast augmentation operations are simply surgeries performed to increase the size of the breasts. This increase in size is achieved by implants placed in the breasts. Women who choose to have breast augmentation surgeries can have many different reasons for having this surgery. But of course, it’s all based on improving the breasts visually.
Breast augmentation surgeries can be said to be performed for two main reasons. The first is to increase the size of the breast, the second is to shape the breast. The breasts may be small due to its natural anatomical structure, or the person may wish to have a larger breast size. The breasts may be asymmetrical or unpleasant to the eye due to its natural anatomical structure. Breasts may lose volume and firmness after pregnancy and breastfeeding. For these and other reasons, one can increase the size of their breasts with the help of implants, creating more volume, providing firmness to the breasts along with an improvement in the shape of the breasts.
Although the implants used shape the breast, if the patient’s breast tissue is sagging, a breast augmentation procedure alone may not be sufficient. In such cases, breast augmentation procedures should be performed together with a breast lift procedure. In this way, the sagging breast tissue is reassembled and lifted, while the breasts are enlarged and shaped by implants.
Some women may have a congenital, genetic condition called ’micromastia’. Micromastia may be defined as the underdevelopment of the breasts when they are much smaller than they should be. It is a condition that can cause psychological discomfort as well as visual dissatisfaction. Sometimes women may even find it difficult to find some type of clothing that suits them.
One of the reasons for performing breast augmentation surgery is to reconstruct the breasts of the patient who had to undergo mastectomy due to breast cancer or similar reasons. This also supports the patient emotionally.
